I was working with Mattel in 1988 when the first Holiday Barbie was introduced and I remember what an instant sensation it became. 

This 1993 Winter Royale Barbie is a vision of seasonal spectacular in her purple dress with white faux fur trim and gold belt with pom pomps.IN her regal, elegant gown she stands poised beside her shimmering sleigh, read to be whisked away to a royal extravaganza. 

As a special bonus, I'm including this vintage 1999 Hallmark Barbie as The Millennium Princess ornament, in superb condition, with this doll. It was a holiday tradition in our home for many years. 

Barbie is the most popular fashion doll in the history of the world and has been since its introduction in 1959. I first started working with Barbie in 1985 in Mattel's Samples Department. In 1988 I began writing toy fair scripts, videos, marketing skits, custom songs and other creative for Barbie at Mattel.
