Barbie is the most popular fashion doll in the history of the world and has been since its introduction in 1959. I first started working with Barbie in 1985 in Mattel's Samples Department. In 1988 I began writing toy fair scripts, videos, marketing skits, custom songs and other creative for Barbie at Mattel. Salute Sergeants Barbie and Ken! They're enlisted personnel in the 101st Airborne division, tamed for its skill and daring air assault. Both wear authentic desert battle dress uniforms or camouflage material. like those worn in the Desert Storm campaign. You can tell by the insignia on her maroon beret that Sergeant Barbie iS a medic. and she's ready for duty with two field medical cases.

Staff Sergeant Ken is ready. too, with a helmet. binoculars and a field case. His beret bears the distinctive 101S1 Airborne unit insignia with the motto: Rendezvous with Destiny. Both are proud. patriotic Americans serving their country wherever they
are needed.

This toy is part of my personal collection and has been archived by me, Joe Galliani, the creator of the Street Sharks, and President of Mr. Joe's Really Big Productions for over two decades in my home's attic.
