In the Movie "Clueless" from 1995 based on the Jane Austen novel „Emma“. The main figure Emma got the name Cher Hoorowitz  and was played by Alica Silverstone. One year after the movie Clueless became a TV series around three spoiled young girls who are mainly interested in fashion, shopping and boys. The series ran for 3 seasons and 62 episodes until 1999. Because Alicia Silverstone had other obligations, Rachel Blanchard became Cher in the series. 

In 1996 Mattel dedicated three look alike Barbies to the chicest teen trio in Beverly Hills“. The promo picture on the back of the packaging suggests that Cher was originally supposed to get the Teen Skipper Facemold. But all three were produced with their own facemolds, which have similarity to the actresses. In addition to their stylish outfit with hat or headband, the dolls are equipped with a phone and an animal backpack. Cher has a plush pen in her right hand and various fashion books to keep up to date.
