Barbie is the most popular fashion doll in the history of the world and has been since its introduction in 1959. I first started working with Barbie in 1985 in Mattel's Samples Department. In 1988 I began writing toy fair scripts, videos, marketing skits, custom songs and other creative for Barbie at Mattel. Christian Dior Barbie, Mattel # 13168, copyright 1995. She is the first of the two Dior Barbie Designer Series and is a Limited Edition. Doll wears a gold, black, and red metalic brocade gown with beads and rhinestones. She was the first to have the designer label inside of gown and fashion is not removeable. Hair style is a soft chignon with gold colored leaf earrings. This fashion is a work of art that is a Gianfranco Ferre design, and full length version still resides in the Musee Grevin in Paris and has since its inception in 1993. From Timeless Creations, the specialty doll division of Mattel. Made in China. For the adult collector. Un-opened box contains: Doll, Top, Skirt, Shoes, Earrings, Doll Stand and Certificate of Authenticity. This doll shows what Mattel can do when insired by high fashion and real beauty!

This toy is part of my personal collection and has been archived by me, Joe Galliani, the creator of the Street Sharks, and President of Mr. Joe's Really Big Productions for over two decades in my home's attic.

The box with the official Christian Dior Logo and spectacular doll inside are in very good condition. The only visible flaws are on the bottom of the box where a removed label has peeled awesome of the box color as you can see in the photo.. Photos are of this specific toy for sale.
