Barbie is the most popular fashion doll in the history of the world and has been since its introduction in 1959. I first started working with Barbie in 1985 in Mattel's Samples Department. In 1988 I began writing toy fair scripts, videos, marketing skits, custom songs and other creative for Barbie at Mattel. My first email address was mrbarbie@aol.com and you can still reach me there.

Plantation Belle 1964 Barbie Second in the Porcelain Treasures Series 1992 Limited Edition Comes with Certificate of Authenticity and is Serial #00527 Doll is in mint condition and has never been displayed The box shows wear, t is a tear on the front near the corner and the top bows up From booklet included with doll: Plantation Belle is a unique combination of a 1964 Barbie with a "Swirl" ponytail wearing the classic 1959 ensemble, Plantation Belle. Her face painting reflects the 1964 Barbie that debuted with the "Swirl" ponytail. Her eyebrows are thin and pointed, her lids have heavy black eyeliner and blue eye-shadow, her cheeks rouged, her lips and nails all delicately hand-painted in rich magenta....From the full swing of her skirt to the delicate lace at her neck, Plantation Belle is one of the freshest and sweetest of Barbie ensembles. The dress is sheer dotted swiss pink organza with tiers of lace and soutache over a double ruffled petticoat with a single ribbon. She wears short white gloves and pink open toe heels. Her jewelry is simple: a single strand of graduated pink "pearls" with matching snake bracelet and earrings. Her hat is wide brimmed with a straw crown and ribbon. A straw purse to match with sequin and bead accents completes her very Southern look. Underneath it all, Barbie wears a strapless chemise.

This toy is part of my personal collection and has been archived by me, Joe Galliani, the creator of the Street Sharks, and President of Mr. Joe's Really Big Productions for over two decades in my home's attic.
